This is now working.... I'd assume. This, I think, is used for people to give opinions on anything said by John A. Macdonald.

We compared what the other colonies wanted, and we decided what would be equal and fair.

I do not agree wit h the lumber percentages because they already lowered our agriculture and our government to 30% so I don't think that it would be fair that we get 35% lumber. Also lumber and agriculture are the only things that we are asking for. - Canada East

I feel that the proposed percentages so far are pretty fair. Most people seem happy, and I believe that we will all find a win-win situation shortly. Everyone is being reasonable and debating quite well at the moment.

I also believe Canada East should get more lumber. Even though we have majority NB and NS have most fishing(they want 60%) but for lumber we only have 35%. I think if they are going to give us 3% of fishing we should get more lumber. Especially since that's the resource we want the most.

I'm sure you've noticed that Canada East has more lumber than ANY other colony, and has equally highest percentage in agriculture. If you ask any of the other colonies, you can't really complain; Canada West has nothing better than you do.

That is what they are discussing right now

Both Howland and Chapais have good points. It is true that Canada East has more lumber than anyone. They have a right to want more, and maybe they could get 2-3% more. Going above that, though, I personally think it would be too much. No offence to Canada East.

That is true, however, if they do have such a high lumber % then shouldn't they get less % in something else?

I understand what you are saying William, but they have lowered all of our resource percentages and if we do confederate we would be paying for most of the other colonies dept. I think with the mining included now everything is becoming more reasonable.
